Joseph preserved people from famine. Jesus saves His people from their sins. His obedience supplies the righteousness they lack. His blood satisfies divine justice. His resurrection declares His victory over sin and death. His intercession ensures that every person given to Him by the Father will be kept and raised in glory.

Joseph’s future appeared to rest in the hands of cruel and wicked men. Yet every step of his journey remained under the sovereign direction of God. The betrayal, the pit, and the journey into Egypt were all woven into the Lord’s gracious purpose to preserve His people and fulfill His promises.
