Blessed are the Meek
The meek shall inherit the earth. They are welcomed into the Kingdom of God and enjoy its blessings even now. The meek are not impatient or quarrelsome, nor are they always entangled in contentions, disputes, debates, or strife. Biblical meekness involves an attitude of humility, gentleness, and a steadfast reliance upon God—even in the midst of trials and tribulations.
Blessed Are They Who Mourn
We may be afflicted in every way. But we are not crushed. We may be perplexed, but not driven to despair. All day long we may be persecuted. But we are not forsaken. Still others may be struck down. But we are not destroyed. Mourning may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. The only hope and eternal comfort in this world for those who rejoice or for those who mourn is Christ!

Who is My Neighbor? Christ, Compassion, and the Law
Let us hear the parable rightly: not as a ladder to climb, but a window into the heart of God. Jesus doesn’t just tell us to love—He loved us first (1 John 4:10). And having received such mercy, we are now free to show mercy to others—not to earn life, but because we have life in Him.

There Was a Certain Rich Man: The Historicity of Christ’s Telling of the Rich Man and Lazarus
We see strong exegetical and theological grounds to affirm its historicity. The naming of Lazarus, the narrative structure, and the theological precision all support this conclusion. But more than this, it is Christ’s omniscient authority and purpose that compel us to receive this story as truth revealed, not fiction invented.
