If we, who have been shown so much mercy, fail to extend mercy to others, will not the Lord chasten and correct us? It is a grievous and wicked thing to withhold mercy when we have freely received it in such abundance.
Blessed Are They Who Hunger and Thirst
Those who hunger and thirst for the righteousness that cannot be produced by human effort will most surely be satisfied.
The Power and Wisdom of the Cross
The message of John 3:16–17 and 1 Corinthians 1:18–24 is one and the same: the love of God and the wisdom of God are revealed supremely in the cross of Christ. The world may see weakness and folly, but to those whom God has called, the crucified Son is salvation, righteousness, and life. Blessed are the Meek
The meek shall inherit the earth. They are welcomed into the Kingdom of God and enjoy its blessings even now. The meek are not impatient or quarrelsome, nor are they always entangled in contentions, disputes, debates, or strife. Article and Sermon – Behold, God is Doing a New Thing!
As Christians, we believe in the sovereign hand of God in all things. He alone redeems. He alone restores. And He does so for His glory and for our good. Even in dry seasons, God is at work. Even in wilderness moments, His rivers of grace are flowing. God formed us, His chosen people, “that [we] might declare [His] praise” (v. 21).
Whatever the Lord Pleases, He Does
Psalm 135:1-6 invites us to praise and thank God for His greatness and care. This passage reminds us that God, like a loving parent, always watches over us, guiding and protecting us. It calls us to remember how God chose His people. He is powerful, doing what is best for us, and His love never fails. These verses encourage us to trust in His sovereignty, knowing that He is always at work for our good.
